Hello everyone!!! Today I going to talk about Boric and the memes of Boric because this is more important than other things now (more important that finish my college career). If you do not who is Gabriel Boric, I have a meme that explain who is:

Gabriel Boric is one of the two candidates for president in Chile, I do not remember the name of the other candidate, but I think that was not sometime important if I can’t remember. The election for president will be December 19^TH and Boric is the number one in the ballot paper and He have an amazing government program that considers some important topic like mental health, education, sports, decentralization in the country, the importance of women in society, cancellation of the CAE, the end of the AFP, a regulated migration, control of crime and drug trafficking and so many other things.

I am an architecture student and I think the government program of Gabriel Boric is the most complete about architecture, because the proposal of urbanism of Boric have a cross-sectional approach. For example, Boric have in his government program the Housing emergency and this emergency plan proposes a rent at a fair price and the possibility of providing humanitarian housing to people in emergency situations (such as domestic violence, catastrophes, weather emergencies, migration, etc). And Gabriel Boric proposes a more active role for the state in accessing and creating housing because the right to housing is considered as an important issue in a country where it is increasingly difficult to fulfill the dream of a home.

Blog 7 Horacio

 

Hello everyone, today I am going to talk about Horacito! (My pet) because I don't have a favorite animal because I like so many animals like elephants, penguins, cats, etc.

Horacio is a white and grey cat of a mysterious age that one day entered my house, and this happened about three years ago. Horacio is old but it likes to go out of the house to fight with other cats (and some dogs), It is a little aggressive but is because it was a stray cat and all I know about their origins is it was of other house in the neighborhood, and they abandoned it.

My brother was the first person to become friend with Horacio, because my brother always that saw Horacio in the house feed him with meat or other things that were in the house. Slowly Horacio started to come more to the house and with time Horacio started to past the night here and sleep in the house, in less than year Horacio become a member of the family.

At the beginning my mother and my father hated cats, but when Horacio started to come to the house, they started to love cats and Horacio. Now Horacio is the favorite of the house, and all here love him and argue about which member of the family is Horacio favorite’s

A postgraduate study?

 

Hello everyone!!! I am an architecture student and I’m in my third year and I believe that I will finish this career in three years more, in the year 2024. To be honest I do not want to study more, because I really tired of the amount of work that I do in the University and will be very hard to me have a job full time and study at the same time for a thing like a degree or something like that. And, also, I am in my third year, and I do not know which area of architecture I like the most and that’s why I need to work in some of job or learn more about the possibilities before thinking about a future degree or a postgraduate study.

I hope that in the future when I am already working as an architect, I will be able to take this decision more calmly, but for now I do not think I want to do some postgraduate study or study more in generally. I only want to know about more what is work in architecture and have free time, not like today. Some areas that I like are new technologies, the use of modeling and rendering programs, and I think these things I can learn better by working or on my own.

Hello everyone, today I going to talk about what I want to do in the future, my name is Carolina and I study Architecture. Talk about my future job is the same to say what I want to do with my life (somehow) because I want to work some time in Chile and go out the country and travel to China... I know sound a little crazy but I’m in process to learn mandarin Chinese and I really like China because is a country with good currently architecture projects, a beautiful traditional architecture, and a huge culture in so many aspects like traditional clothes, food, history, and the Tao (道). I don’t know what place in specific I what to go, but I want to know Beijing, Shanghai and the Tibet in continental China and go to Taiwan island.

Today I know some words in Chinese because I take an online course in coursera (it is free If you are from University of Chile) but the next year I plan to take Chinese classes with a teacher in person with “IFE” money lol, because I want to take the HSK1 (Hanyu Shuiping Kaosh). The HSK is an international standardized exam which tests and rates Chinese language proficiency and this test is like the TOEFL.

Miranda!!!

Hello everyone!!! Today I going to talk about one of the best bands of Latin America (in my opinion) and one of my favorite’s bands: “Miranda!”. Miranda is an Argentinian pop group that was formed in 2001 by Alejandro Sergi, Juliana Gattas and Leandro Fuentes (Lolo) but before the creation of Miranda! Alejandro and Juliana had a duo named “Lirio” and when they performed the song “Iman” (one of my favorites songs) in a bar they know Alejandro that saw the presentation. The first album of Miranda was “Es mentira” that was released the year 2002, the songs of Miranda in this album have a good rhythm, a catchy pop sound and the characteristic voice of Alejandro Sergi. I highly recommend listen to this album in order and pay attention to the lyrics of the songs, because this album talk about a romantic relationship that is chaotic, melodramatic and intense and is one of the most iconic albums of Miranda. “Es mentira” have some good songs like “Romix”, “Bailarina”, “Tu juego”and my favourite “Iman” I think that iman have an intense lyric like for example in this parts: “Encadenado, te recorro a nado (Chained, I swim through you) Y prefiero ahogarme (And I'd rather drown) (…) Vos me clavaste el cuchillo (you stuck the knife in me) Y ahora yo lo hundo” (and now I pushed it deeper)” In 2004 Miranda released “Sin restricciones” their second studio album, and this album was really famous in Latin America for the song “Don” that have the famous line “Es la guitarra de Lolo”. I think that I like all the songs of this album and if you have time, I recommend that you listen all this album!!

Perfect blue, A movie you should see

 

Perfect blue

Hello!! Today I going to talk about one of my favorite’s movies: Perfect blue. Perfect blue is a animated movie from Japan and is famous for be the inspiration of Black Swan (that movie in which Natalie Portmant is a ballerina of ballet) I highly recommend view this movie without search anything, because this movie can be very surprising. (If you want to see the movie before reading this you should stop here uwu)

Perfect blue it´s a psychological thriller animated film based on the novel “Perfect blue: Complete metamorphosis” about the protagonist, Mima Kirigoe, a Japanese idol of J-pop that want to change her career and become an actress but has become a victim of stalking and mysterious and gruesome murders begin to occur around it. This film plays to blur the line between fantasy and reality because Mima stars to lose her grip on reality because all the thing that happen around her.

And said more can be a spoiler…

The director of this film is Satoshi Kon and he has really good movies like Paprika, that’s considered an influenced for Inception and also deals with the theme of the blurring line between fantasy and reality and Tokyo Godfathers a heartwarming story about three homeless that save a baby in Christmas (I love this movie).

The best concert i have ever been to uwu

 

In March of 2019 I went to Lollapalooza, a music festival that take place in O’Higgins Parks in Santiago.

One of the musicians I saw that day was Troye Sivan, he is an Australian-South African singer and        songwriter and his songs are generally pop and Troye have two albums (Blue Neighborhood, Bloom) and various EPs and singles. My favorite performance of him that day was his song Animal.

I also saw the English band “The 1975” a band of pop rock that consist four members: Matthew Healy (lead vocalist), Adam Hann , Ross MacDonald  and George Daniel (drummer/ producer). The band origin’s was in 2002 in Cheshire when they were still teenagers and attending high school, in the actually the band have four studio albums: The 1975 (2013), I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It (2016), A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships (2018) and the most recent Notes on a Conditional Form (2020). I really fan of this band and I remember to know the lyrics of all the songs, and this was my favorite concert of the day.

Lollapalooza 2019 is the only festival I have ever been to and it was very exciting and tiring, only for two performances I was able to stand up in the front and by the end of the day I listened to Artic Monkeys from afar and sitting down due to fatigue. I don't remember much about the atmosphere but was a really good experience and I hope to repeat it someday.
